If you experience a dental emergency, it is important to see a dentist as soon as possible. You may require urgent treatment for:

- A chipped or broken tooth
- A lost crown or filling
- A painful abscess
- Facial swelling
If a tooth has been knocked out, keep it clean and avoid touching the root. If possible, place the tooth in a container of milk or your own saliva, or gently hold it inside your cheek until you are able to see a dentist.
